Job Summary

W e are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Forklift Operator.  The main function of a forklift operator is to operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location. A typical forklift operator is responsible for the operation of heavy machinery to safely move product load around the facility.

Job Description

• Exhibit safe work habits to ensure a safe working environment. Complies with company safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support and committed to Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time”. Convey this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.
• May participate as a member of various quality teams and may assist in the development of action plans as required.
• Participate in safety meetings, planning committee’s and team functions.
• Perform daily forklift operations and inspections.
• Load, unload, and store finished products, raw materials, supplies, and containers
• Perform shipping and/or receiving procedures during order fulfillment or inventory replenishment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Stage drums and totes for loading and shipping.
• Perform inventory cycle counts.
• Apply spill containment and clean up methods when required.
• Ensure that all vendors/contractors adhere to plant safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Responsible for understanding KPI’s and working as part of a TEAM toward established objectives

Skills Required

• 0-2 years manufacturing experience required.
• Verbal communication skills
• Attention to details
• Team player
• Problem solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Forklift operators’ license required.

Pay Rate

• $18.08 per hour
