Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Location: Clifton, NJ

Shift: 2nd and 3rd Shift

Pay: $19 - $20 hour

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving and storing materials to ensure smooth production operations. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading trucks as required. The role requires expertise in operating a standup forklift, material handling, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely move materials within factory warehouse and production areas.

• Return unused materials to the appropriate warehouse locations.

• Weigh rolls of material before and after use by production personnel.

• Provide accurate information to the Receiving/Warehouse Manager regarding materials.

• Load and unload trucks safely and store unloaded material properly.

• Perform additional tasks as defined by the Receiving/Warehouse Manager.

• Report any mechanical or safety problems with the forklift or other equipment immediately.

• Maintain the integrity and proper identification of all materials to prevent misuse.

• Inspect incoming materials for damage or shortages and report findings.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating a standup forklift and material handling equipment.

• Basic computer skills.

• Experience with packaging, loading, order picking, pallet jack, RF scanner.

• Understanding of inventory control systems and cycle counts.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and general labor tasks.

• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clifton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
