We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Fiber Splicer Supervisor to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fiber splicing, including the management of a team of skilled technicians. This role is crucial to ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of our fiber optic network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber splicing, with a particular focus on optical line terminal (OLT), dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM), and coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM).
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of fiber splicing technicians.
- Oversee the installation, splicing, testing, and repair of fiber optic cables.
- Ensure the proper use of optical line terminal (OLT) equipment.
- Manage projects involving dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) and coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM).
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for fiber splicing technicians.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber optic network infrastructure.
- Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of fiber optic network infrastructure.
- Provide regular reports to management on project progress and issues.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fiber splicing, with a focus on OLT, DWDM, and CWDM.
- Proven experience as a supervisor or relevant role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of fiber optic network infrastructure and related equipment.
- Proficiency in using various fiber splicing tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in the construction industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant certification or degree in a related field is preferred.
