About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Business Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and driving licensing and collaboration opportunities that align with the company's strategic interests. This role involves leading the deal process, from generating impactful presentations to senior management and key decision-makers, to negotiating and finalizing agreements. The Executive Director will also lead cross-functional deal teams, conduct assessments and due diligence, and be involved in building the business case for potential partnerships. The ability to travel as needed for meetings, conferences, and negotiations is essential. Applicants should have an advanced degree with a relevant technical background, and at least 10 years' of experience in biopharma business development or a related field. A strong track record in leading negotiations to successful outcomes is required, particularly in deals related to regional rights and late-clinical stage or commercial programs. The ideal candidate will have an established network in the area of specialty cardiology, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities also include coaching and mentoring colleagues and driving activities towards successful deal execution.
