About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for AI at Wharton, a pivotal role within the Wharton AI and Analytics Initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing the strategic priorities of AI at Wharton, with a focus on advancing the application of AI and data science in modern business. This includes the development and management of a comprehensive strategic plan for faculty research, industry engagement, fundraising, and events. The Executive Director will also serve as a primary liaison to internal and external stakeholders, lead the design and implementation of AIW programs, and supervise staff and affiliated scholars. A key aspect of the role is the cultivation of individual and corporate donations to support AIW, requiring the ability to manage high-level relationships and represent the initiative with the utmost professionalism. Applicants for the Executive Director position should hold a Master's degree and have 5-7 years' of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in consumer and/or industry AI applications, as well as experience in program and conference organization, preferably in an academic setting. The role demands a candidate with strong project management skills, the ability to manage staff, and a proven track record of engaging with individual and corporate donors. The Executive Director must be an ambassador for AI at Wharton, capable of influencing and inspiring others, and be adept at working within complex organizations. The position requires a strategic thinker who can execute the vision of the AIW faculty and ensure the effective execution of all goals, including programming, content development, and marketing efforts.
