ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has immediate openings for Event Security Guards at the SNHU Arena, Manchester, NH 03101. These are part time, event related positions. No set schedules or hours. This position is responsible for patrolling all areas of property and security doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and contract labor while on premises; securing property during move in/out of events. Responsibilities include securing property, locking and unlocking facility doors, conducting routine property walks, directing guests through metal detectors, to seats or other locations, responding to emergency situations, interacting with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees, securing the safety of all individuals on the premises, appropriately dealing with 'unruly' people, and working independently while judging and assessing situations for immediate response. High school diploma or GED required. Skills needed include ability to work with minimal supervision, strong customer service skills, good written, verbal and interpersonal skills, professional presentation, appearance and work ethic, ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays, ability to speak, read and write English, professional attitude and appearance, and must be at least 18 years old. Physical demands include a large amount of walking, climbing, stooping, possibly heavy lifting, work in both indoor and outdoor settings, and potential contact from hostile people.
