Job Summary and Qualifications

• Maintains accurate documentation to ensure accountability and accurate, precise charging.
• Assess, plan, implement and document patient care needs including education, according to hospital and endoscopy policy procedures. Administers medication pre, intra, post procedure.
• Demonstrates a high level of technical and operational expertise in performing Endoscopy Procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of reprocessing endoscopes, accessories and automatic washers.
• Establishes a physical environment conducive to the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.
• Assumes responsibility/accountability for all coverage, weekly hours worked and assigned committee tasks.
• Assumes responsibility for professional development through continuing education and inservices.
• Anticipates and maintains adequate inventory of supplies and medications while controlling costs and eliminating waste.
• Demonstrates proficiency in hospital information systems to include Meditech.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma
