About the role Vectored Approach is seeking a Director of Operations to join us on our exciting journey of growth! This pivotal leadership role will drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and safety, ensuring every flight delivers best-in-class safety and premier flying experiences. You will oversee our maintenance and flight instructor teams while working cross-functionally with technology, marketing, and media to support company-wide success. What you'll do Lead and oversee Vectored Approach's flight operations, directly managing the Chief Pilot. Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations and internal standards; serve as the primary liaison with the FAA. Manage key operational initiatives, including expansion into new locations. Provide leadership for instructor and maintenance workstreams, implementing systems and processes to track tasks through to completion. Monitor and analyze KPIs across all departments, presenting results to leadership and defining strategies for improvement. Develop, implement, and maintain operational control policies, ensuring effective communication and adherence by all crewmembers. Enhance operational efficiency by refining SOPs and implementing best practices. Oversee strategic asset utilization to optimize customer satisfaction and business performance. Qualifications Passion for aviation and operational leadership. Bachelor?s degree in Aviation, Business, or related field. Proven track record of leading teams through continuous improvement frameworks, aligning people, processes, and technology to achieve measurable results. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, aviation operations, and safety protocols. Meets Part 119.67(a) qualifications for Director of Operations (Part 135). Minimum 3 years of management experience and 3 years of PIC experience with an ATP certificate. Experience in airline management or flight instruction; prior service as Chief Pilot or Director of Operations preferred.
