Job Details

We are seeking a mission-driven finance leader who is passionate about advancing the goals of a nonprofit organization, brings deep expertise in fund and grant accounting, and thrives in a collaborative, impact-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Manage grant accounting and compliance, including federal, state, and private funding sources.
• Collaborate with program staff to prepare budgets and financial documentation for grant proposals and reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Supervise finance staff and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and long- and short-term debt obligations.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and grant compliance. Proven experience managing federal and state grants, including compliance with 2 CFR 200 and A-133 audit standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
