  Description:

  We’re looking for a data analyst to join our Internal Audit team! As part of the Internal Audit team, you will be an integral part of building up our technology enablement and innovation capabilities, focused on developing and executing data analytic processes and supporting innovation projects such as Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation. You’ll collaborate with strategic business leaders from across major lines of business including Clinical Operations, Finance & Accounting, Information Technology and Health Plan to build a data-based control assurance program that will support organizational risk management.

  Requirements:

• Coordinate with internal audit and business stakeholders to define requirements for collection and analysis of data to support audit conclusions.

• Facilitate data acquisition and extraction with data stewards and subject matter experts across the organization.

• Verify and transform collected data (prep, cleaning and modeling) for use as part of audit conclusions. In many, cases internal audit personnel will additionally analysis data for conclusions.

• Utilize tools such as Power BI, Audit Control Language (ACL), Python and SQL to perform data analysis on existing data sets.

• Create informative and captivating data visualizations and infographics using Tableau, Power BI and other visualization tools.

• Lead initiative to identify and develop relevant data analytics, data visualization, and continuous auditing/monitoring.

• Partner with industry peers in aligning on best practices and participate in establishing industry accepted principles and framework.

• Promote an environment of empathy, transparency, and respect, striving for the inclusion of all team members and actively engaging in team and company events and learning opportunities.

  Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative field.

• Three to Six years of experience performing data analytics and reporting.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of basic SQL, Java, and/or Python to develop queries and scripts to collect and analyze data

• Experience with databases and data analytics/visualization tools, such as Audit Control Language (ACL), Tableau, Excel, SAS, R or Alteryx

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail and the ability to describe findings or analysis techniques to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Ability to think critically, creatively solve problems, prioritize tasks, meet milestones, and work independently, taking vague requirements and transforming them into concise deliverables

• Ability to effectively interact with various levels of internal and external management and build collaborative and trusting relationships cross-functional stakeholders, as well as co-source and external auditors

• Executes to goals and is proactive and results-driven, flourishes in an entrepreneurial environment and is not afraid to wear multiple hats

• Thrives on building from the ground up, craves to learn new skills, and enjoys reaching for the highest performance standards no matter how big or small the task

• Experience in testing and/or implementing IT, application, and/or manual controls with the capability of incorporating data analytics and automated tools/techniques in executing an audit or continuous monitoring program
