Job Description
Summary : The CRA Mortgage Loan Officer (CRAMLO) is primarily responsible for assisting low-to-moderate income (LMI) customers in underserved markets by discussing applicant's home financing needs, recommending appropriate mortgage loan products, and assisting with the completion of the loan application and collection of support documentation. The CRAMLO must have an extensive understanding of the local affordable housing market as well as experience providing thoughtful solutions and guidance to LMI and first-time homebuyers. It is expected that the CRAMLO will work collaboratively with processing, underwriting and closing through-out the approval process.
Essential Functions: •Consult with potential customers regarding their needs and eligibility, the loan process and inform them of available products.
•Analyze applicant's financial status, work history and credit, to determine feasibility of loan approval.
•Meet with applicants in person, electronically or by phone to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
•Submit complete and accurate loan packages in a timely manner.
•Work with processors and underwriters to aid in resolving mortgage application problems.
•Understand and adhere to investor and portfolio loan underwriting guidelines for all product types including those with income limitations.
•Understand FHLB Grant programs and other community second options.
•Identify client needs for use of other bank products and services.
•Establish and maintain referral sources in low-to-moderate and majority minority communities; self-generated business is required and fundamental to the success of this position
•Comply with regulatory requirements including but not limited to the creation and delivery of loan disclosures within required timeframes.
•All employees will be responsible for understanding and complying with the letter and spirit of all government regulations including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, that apply to the bank's specific operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands: This position requires sitting or standing at a computer station for extended periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible but should be agreed upon with the employee's supervisor.
Travel: This position requires traveling to client sites, off-site meetings, other ODNB branches and locations, and other business-related outings.
Education and Experience: •Five years experience as a CRA Mortgage Loan Officer
•Associates Degree or higher education is preferred.
•Experience with Encompass is preferred.
Work Authorization/ Security Clearance: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
