Commercial Fencing Estimator Job Description:

Overview of the Company:
Our client is a leading fencing company in the DC area that is looking for a commercial fencing estimator to collaborate a and maintain key relationships with contractors, design consultants and vendors during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Salary and Benefits:

• Base salary + commission (amount dependent upon experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Upload construction plans to computer
• Perform online plan take-offs
• Interpret project specifications
• Estimate material and labor costs for projects
• Create proposals and negotiate contracts
• Collaborate with contractors, design consultants, and vendors to ensure accuracy
• Recommend cost-reduction options
• Maintain project documentation
• Manage projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but education and experience will be considered
• Strong mathematics skills or experience
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in relevant software
• Familiarity with project management principles
