Community Development Finance Analyst Location: Columbia, SC Posted: November 11, 2025 Employment type: Full‑time Seniority level Entry level Job function Finance and Sales Key responsibilities Administer and ensure compliance of Federal Grants Programs and General Fund Programs, including CDBG, CDBG‑CV, CDBG‑DR, CDBG‑MIT, HOME and HOPWA. Promote program opportunities and services to the public and partner with City departments. Prepare financial transactions; balance and reconcile general ledger accounts; review and adjust journal entries. Fund and set up activities in the Federal IDIS and DRGR. Prepare and administer assigned budgets; monitor expenditures and prepare related reports. Prepare analyses of payroll expenses and process reimbursements. Process invoices, MOUs, contracts, and other expenses for check disbursements as directed. Prepare paperwork needed for wire transmittals. Prepare budget transfers. Assist in the administration of department loan pools; update and track program income loan balances; deposit loan payments, payoffs and other revenue. Prepare expense reports and create spreadsheets as needed. Collect, prepare and review a variety of financial information for external agency reporting requirements; gather and prepare additional financial information as needed. Receive and respond to inquiries, concerns, complaints, and requests for assistance in areas of responsibility. Perform general clerical work as required: attend meetings, prepare reports and correspondence, enter and retrieve computer data, copy and file documents, send and receive faxes, answer the telephone. Attend trainings, meetings, seminars and/or workshops to enhance job knowledge and skills. Perform other related duties as assigned.
