Position Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Wage: $24.00 - $32.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Mazak Turning Centers for precision part production
- Review and interpret drawings, blueprints and job travelers to determine set up and tooling requirements
- Inspect parts to verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Perform offsets, tool changes and basic maintenance to maintain optimal machining performance
- Operate manual lathes for secondary or prototype operations
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety, quality and production procedures
- Communicate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining or design issues

Requirements for CNC Lathe Machinist:
- Completion of or enrollment in a two-year Machine Tool Technician program, or equivalent on-the-job experience
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient with manual measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Experience with Mazak CNC lathes preferred
- Familiarity with Mazatrol conversational programming (training available) preferred
- Familiarity with setup and tooling of multi-operation jobs preferred
