Child & Adol Psychiatry Opportunity – Mayo Health System (Wisconsin) A second Child-Adolescent Psychiatrist is needed to join the Psychiatry Department at Mayo Health System in La Crosse, WI. Board certification/eligibility in Child-Adolescent Psychiatry is required. The practice will primarily include child-adolescent outpatient psychiatry. A second child-adolescent psychiatrist will allow improvement in same-day access. Hospital has a well-established Child Development Service and an adolescent DBT program. There is also a day-treatment service integrated with the area schools. The Psychiatry Department/Behavioral Health Services includes four general adult psychiatrists, a child-adolescent psychiatrist, and an extensive team of clinical psychologists (including a child-adolescent psychologist), nurse clinicians, Masters prepared clinical therapists, social workers, RN's, and a chemical dependency staff. Our child-adolescent psychiatrist currently participates in the general psychiatry call schedule, and candidates will be expected to do the same. This includes weekend call coverage and rounding for the 16-bed adult inpatient treatment unit. Psychiatry and Behavioral Health here are focused on acute and community mental health services and are integrated into each of the regional primary care clinics. This network also includes well-established chemical dependency treatment programs and residential services.
