Company Overview:

Strategic Talent Partners has been retained by our client, a non-profit dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges achieve their personal and career goals, to hire a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) . Through person-centered and evidence-based care, our client provides a broad range of services including Care Coordination, Employment Support, and Financial Management. They serve individuals and their families across the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. They have aggressive growth plans within their existing services as well as into the for-profit healthcare and human services space.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Directors, the CAO will lead Finance, Human Resources, IT, Facilities, and Continuous Improvement. They will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's growth by leading financial strategy, shaping a high-performing organizational structure, and empowering teams with the guidance, development, and support needed to execute key business initiatives successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial strategy, budgeting, and business planning to support both organic and acquisition-driven growth.
  • Oversee Finance, HR, IT, and Building Operations, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Develop and execute strategies for operational effectiveness, change management, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage key vendor relationships, including banking, legal, and insurance partners.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and audit requirements while maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in healthcare, human services, business services, or a related field. A mix of non-profit and for-profit experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong financial acumen with a background in strategic planning and operational execution.
  • Experience leading HR and/or IT functions is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
