We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks expertise to handle day‑to‑day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Base pay range $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr Responsibilities Maintain accurate and organized financial records using QuickBooks Online/Desktop. Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements on a regular basis. Prepare journal entries, post transactions, and assist with month‑end close. Generate and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). Manage invoicing, expense tracking, and purchase orders. Assist with payroll processing and ensure proper posting to accounts. Provide supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and financial reporting. Communicate with vendors, customers, and management regarding billing or accounting issues. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Proficient in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop (required). Strong Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools. Understanding of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Excellent communication and time management skills. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Preferred Skills Experience with construction, real estate, or professional services. Knowledge of job costing, class tracking, or project accounting in QuickBooks. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
