32Summary:
The Mental Health Tech / Progr am Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescence. In this role you will assist children with activities of daily living, helping to maintain a safe environment and help them manage harmful behaviors. The Mental Health Tech also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process, and on-call as needed.
Hours: 32 hours per week/ varying shifts
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work, or related field.
Education in Child Growth and development required.
Demonstrated experience working in an inpatient psychiatric or healthcare facility preferred.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
BLS must be completed within 60 days of start date.
CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
