Overview

Position: Assistant Store Manager. Location: 210 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Employment type: Full Time, Salaried (Exempt).

Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, ensuring a high level of client service, and driving sales. You will assist in leading a team of associates and fostering a positive work environment that supports growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring a smooth client experience.
  • Help develop and implement strategies to drive store sales and profitability.
  • Assist in coordinating and overseeing sales, profitability, performance, service, and operations.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of associates to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, manage employee development, and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Support the leadership team to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of store goals.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Handle client complaints and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Support client loyalty programs and services to foster loyalty and engagement.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Uphold Sephora brand excellence in-store with a consistent, high-quality client experience.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  • Support the Store Manager in allocating resources and staffing for optimal productivity and performance.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Proven successful experience as a retail assistant manager.
  • 35 years of experience managing a high-volume, complex retail or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to attract, identify, and inspire employees.
  • Flexible availability to work a retail schedule.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stock shelves, stand/walk throughout shift, and work in a fragrance-filled environment; ability to apply products to clients with or without accommodations.
  • Adherence to Sephoras dress code and policies.

The annual base salary range is $73,700.00 $85,785.00. The actual base salary offered depends on factors including qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Eligible employees may earn bonuses.
