We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our Houston Region property management team.

As an essential part of the team, you’ll work alongside our Director of Property Management, Property Managers, and Maintenance Technicians to ensure our properties are operating efficiently and exceeding expectations. Your role is vital in maintaining the quality of our portfolio while fostering positive tenant relationships and delivering exceptional service.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Details: Manage aging reports, track delinquencies, and prepare correspondence to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support Operations: Collect and maintain certificates of insurance from tenants, vendors, and contractors. Keep lease and contract files meticulously organized and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate Solutions: Assist with work requests, dispatching them to technical staff, vendors, or service providers to address issues promptly.
  • Drive Efficiency: Play a pivotal role in operational reporting, budgeting, purchasing, and annual CAM reconciliations.
  • Monitor Excellence: Participate in property inspections, performance reviews of service contractors, and financial oversight to maintain high standards.
  • Deliver Service: Act as a problem solver with professionalism and outstanding customer service to tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Stay Organized: Maintain databases for tenant move-ins, move-outs, gross sales reports, and ensure invoices are processed accurately.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Compose professional correspondence and provide seamless support to the Property Manager.

What You Bring

  • Experience & Expertise: 2–5+ years in commercial real estate or retail property management, with a solid background in budgeting and vendor management.
  • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in YARDI, MS Office, and Excel.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Organizational Prowess: Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
