We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Boardman, Ohio, on a contract basis. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting operations, manage transactional workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a results-driven environment and enjoys implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise key accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and surplus lines tax filing.
• Oversee and ensure the timely completion of month-end close activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement system optimizations to streamline workflows.
• Monitor and maintain accounting systems while providing operational insights.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals to foster growth and high performance.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance reporting accuracy and financial operations.
• Develop and implement consistent controls and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Support audits by facilitating financial statement reviews and ensuring all documentation is accurate.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in transactional accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting systems such as Workday or QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with analytical tools like Power BI to visualize and analyze data.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage change effectively.
• Proven track record in implementing process improvements and optimizing workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
